Public service after Tucson: A lot of it is showing up

It will be quite a while before the echoes of the Tucson shooting die away for those who were there that day. But for the majority of ordinary Americans, life after alleged gunman Jared Loughner killed six people and wounded thirteen others goes on relatively normally.

There is a group of men and women who have more reason to be concerned: our elected officials.
Somehow they have to find strength to get out to rallies and meetings, putting their responsibility to their constituents before the possibility a nut with a gun will step over the edge.

How do they do it? That's what I asked a group of our local legislators in this article last Saturday.
