Broken lives

This editorial (see link) speaks for itself.

I would like to challenge civilians who support the Iraq war to read it undefensively.

Then imagine that we now have tens of thousands of veterans who saw what Private Downes saw-acts of violence no man or woman should ever have to see.

Would you have volunteered yourself, or your precious children, to go to Iraq, aware that they might return fatally wounded?

Then why was it so easy to let other people's children go?
